Since its launch, APPattendance – QRcode has been the go-to solution for organisations using Docebo Learn to effortlessly manage attendance for Instructor-Led Training (ILT) sessions. By letting learners simply scan a QR code presented by the instructor, without the need for them to download any external applications, we’ve helped companies dramatically streamline self-registration, reduce administrative workload, and ensure accurate attendance tracking. It’s all about making your ILT sessions more organised, engaging, and productive.
But we’re not one to rest on our laurels. We’re excited to announce two powerful new features that bring enhanced compliance, security, and verification to your training events: DocuSign Integration and Dual-Scan Mode.
Feature 1: Digital Signatures with DocuSign Integration
For certified or compliance-driven ILT sessions, having a clear, verifiable record of attendance is non negotiable. That’s why we’ve introduced an optional, fully integrated DocuSign feature within APPattendance.
This upgrade provides a paperless and compliant solution for attendance validation. Here’s how it works:
- Digital Signing: After scanning the QR code, learners can digitally sign their Attendance Certificate directly within the platform.
- Security: This process uses their existing Docebo Learn credentials, ensuring secure and validated access.
- Compliance Ready: It’s an ideal way to add an extra layer of digital validation for courses where regulatory adherence is critical.
This integration eliminates the need for manual paperwork, offering a robust, secure, and fully auditable record.
Feature 2: Introducing Dual-Scan Mode for Robust Attendance Verification
While the original single-scan method is excellent for marking presence, we know that for longer or high compliance events, verifying a learner’s full duration of participation is essential. You need to know that a learner was present at the beginning and the end of the event.
Our new Dual-Scan Mode provides the necessary verification for accurate duration tracking:
How Dual-Scan Mode Works:
- Two QR Codes: Instead of a single code, the instructor can now generate two separate QR codes for a single event: an Entrance code and an Exit code.
- Two Step Process: Learners must complete a two step scanning process to officially redeem their full attendance:
- The first successful scan registers their start time.
- The second successful scan registers their end time.
- Accurate Records: Only after the successful scan of both QR codes will attendance be officially recorded in Docebo Learn, complete with accurate duration information.
This ensures you have a robust, compliant method for tracking learner entrance and exit, giving you complete confidence in your attendance records for courses where full participation is mandatory.
